Teen Survival Challenge
Loved the idea of this challenge,
Haven't started the hard part yet,
but killing off mommy made my heart break.
I made my motherly sim Cora Lee Baskin and childish man Jonathan "Johnny" Greer breed in CAS, and produced four stunning teens.
The story so far:
Happy, but mildly destitute family of six, mother Cora, father John, and children Auralie Bennette, David Allen, Lincoln Abraham, and Juli Anna, were all living and at least mildly scraping by on their father's hard work, when suddenly their father disappears. Death seems imminent and inescapable when suddenly it has come to their attention that a Mrs. Agnes Crumplebottom has left behind her home to an AWOL Johnny Greer at her passing. The house is awarded to his present Mrs. who quickly with all of her reserved energy moves her children into the elegantly furnished and fully stocked home.
The first day in the home all seems normal, and the children all sit with their mother at the table to begin eagerly some long overdue homework previously forgotten in the excitement of the move. None realizing in their feigned indifference toward homework and each other that this is the last moment they shall all be together with their mother.
Tragedy strikes, when despite her need for food and rest Cora leaves the children to their work and attempts to find a job of her own in town. She makes and even worse decision against her better judgement when she decides to stop in to the art museum to relax for moment.
On her way to an inviting seat Cora collapses in starvation and lack of energy and dies slowly in the company of strangers. Her death is a tragedy, and though her soul has ascended some say a certain magnetic energy reverberates with the tragedy and that she can be seen when one visits the art museum.
The vivacious Juli, astute Lincoln, and the very motherly Auralie are so overcome with mourning that they find it difficult to move, and find when they do any more than sit it is in the hazy barren numbness of grief.
The one usually so rebellious, the kleptomaniac David is the one to finally rise to occasion, and throwing off grief in place of disgust toward his siblings helplessness moves to get a job.
